So Joe Biden pardoned Hunter. Big surprise.
Of course, the President and his mouthpiece, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, have been denying this would happen for months, ever since it became clear that Hunter was going down for what must surely be the very least of his crimes.
But it didn’t take the gift of foresight or a spare palantir to see this was obviously going to happen.
Hunter was never really going down, was he?
Some, including friends of mine, have been saying that Biden’s clemency humanises him. That it makes him relatable—like an actual human being with the thoughts and feelings, and the weaknesses, we’d expect from an actual human being, from a father—by contrast with the other bipedal creatures that now infest the upper ranks of the Democrat Party.
And to be honest with you, given the state of the Democrats in 2024 and their ideas about fatherhood and masculinity, I think these people are right. Just look back at the DNC. Look what was done to Tim Walz’s little boy: they put a bowl on his head, gave him a haircut straight out of Dumb and Dumber and made him go full retard for the whole world to see. You never go full retard! Those are Democrat family values in 2024. (Recent TikTok videos show that young Walz Jr. is perfectly fine now, thank heavens.)
Pardoning your philandering crackhead son for being a philandering crackhead looks positively normal by comparison, even if it’s far from the plot of a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Would you pardon your crackhead son if you were president? Probably. I think I would.
So don’t be so quick to judge.
Or maybe do. Do judge. Because the pardon’s not just about Hunter—obviously. It’s about Joe too.
As somebody said on Twitter today: “Joe Biden just pardoned himself.”
Biden is right, as he stated in the pardon, that the prosecution of his son was nakedly political. It was aimed at him, the President. Joe, not Hunter, was the target. Hunter’s convictions came at a time when the nation’s hair-sniffer-in-chief had ceased to be useful. After his diabolical debate perfomance, his cognitive decline could no longer be concealed—perhaps his medication was swapped, even—and now it was time for a new candidate to be put forward.
Seymour Hersch has given us an “insider” account of the palace coup that dethroned the sitting President, with Joe’s Irish mate Barry O’Bama playing a leading role of course. But I suspect it wasn’t just the threat of a 25th Amendment challenge to Joe’s sanity that forced him to step aside. It’s just a hunch, but I think the threat of jail time for Hunter, and the promise of a pardon, were used to make sure Joe threw in the towel. Stick and a hypothetical carrot, in that order.
But if that was the case, Joe lobbed an almighty spanner in the works by immediately endorsing Kamala Harris as his successor and scuttling the Democrats before they could get back out to sea.
And so it was left to the man who ended Corn Pop’s reign of terror, in the dog days of his presidency, to do what had to be done. There would be no Democrat successor to pardon Hunter. Trump—despite the enormous favour Biden did him by forcing the Democrats to run with Montel Williams’ ex-girlfriend, a woman for whom the epithet “guttermouth” could well have been coined—certainly wasn’t going to do it.
But here’s the thing. This nakedly political pardon for a nakedly political prosecution is a gift to Trump.
For starters, it allows 47 to be nakedly political in his own distribution of pardons. Biden has set a precedent. No pussyfooting, no umming and ahhing. Just do it. Pardon whomever you choose.
Pardon the January 6ers. All of them.
There are something like 1200 people caught up on the wrong side of the law because of the protests. Some have already been imprisoned and others are awaiting trial or sentencing. The DoJ has said it plans to expedite the prosecution of the most “egregious” cases before Trump’s inauguration.
Throughout his election campaign, Trump promised to pardon the January 6ers, or at least some of them. Trump was careful not to say which or how many, which has infuriated many of his supporters, but now he can just pardon them all and say, “Joe Biden pardoned his son, who was guilty of much worse than taking an impromptu walk around the halls of the Capitol or even a poop on Nancy Pelosi’s desk.”
Boom!
But the Hunter pardon could also help to unravel the biggest corruption scheme in the world today. That’s Ukraine, if you didn’t know. Ukraine: Where the Bidens and the US Deep State have been hard at work building a massive power base, laundering huge amounts of money, doing biological weapons research and threatening to push the world into nuclear conflict to achieve their geostrategic aims.
And it all began in 2014, with the Maidan coup, orchestrated by the US State Department and globalist apparatchiks like Victoria Nuland. The democratically elected pro-Russia government was toppled, and a pro-Western one installed in its place. Russia invaded the east of the country to protect ethnic Russians and secure its interests in the region—and we know the rest.
The Bidens have been enormous beneficiaries of the chaos and slaughter. It’s clear from the terms of the pardon, which extend back to 2014, well beyond the periods relevant to the offences Hunter has been convicted of, that the President is thinking about Ukraine, about all the money his son was given, about the deals and payments and introductions on behalf of the “Big Guy” (whoever that was)…
The President wants to make sure his son can’t be stepped on for something bigger than a handgun or some unpaid back taxes.
But maybe he can be stepped on. By making his son immune from prosecution back to 2014, Joe Biden has also prevented him from being able to plead the Fifth. That’s what people are saying, including people who know a thing or two about the law, like Roger Stone.
Even if it’s not possible to get Hunter Biden on the stand and make him testify about the Biden Crime Family’s involvement in Ukraine, the pardon itself is a confirmation: it’s Ukraine, stupid. Pretty much everything that stinks, everything that’s corrupt, in American politics seems to run through Ukraine, somehow or other.
We shouldn’t forget, either, about Ryan Routh, the golfcourse gunman, and his links to Ukraine. He went there to recruit foreign fighters from Afghanistan, almost certainly with the blessing of US intelligence. He worked with the Azov Battalion, a known CIA front, and he also came back to the US and lobbied in Washington for greater commitments. The FBI and the Deep State want to portray Routh as a crazed lone gunman—another tragic victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome—precisely because of his known ties to Ukraine.
Once upon a time, it was said all roads led to Rome. Today, I’d say they all lead to Kiev. That’s certainly where Trump must go if he wants to stop a nuclear war—and if he wants to drain the swamp back home too.
