A CNN panelist has openly fantasized about the next Democrat president declaring a “crime crisis” over firearms to unleash the military for door-to-door gun confiscations, brazenly claiming Trump’s crackdown on urban violence sets the precedent for such tyrannical overreach. This chilling admission exposes the left’s long-held dream of disarming Americans, turning the Second Amendment into a relic under the guise of public safety.
Appearing on CNN Tuesday night to protest President Donald Trump’s military intervention in D.C. crime and discussions of National Guard deployment to Chicago, panelist Jonah Goldberg posed the question: at this point, what’s to stop a future Democrat leader from labeling guns themselves a crisis and seizing them all? Goldberg’s remarks, framed as a warning but dripping with anticipation.
CNN is now floating the idea that the next Democratic President will order the military to go door-to-door to confiscate firearms from law-abiding Americans.
I sincerely hope they never get that stupid.

Infowars.com reports: A CNN panelist has openly fantasized about the next Democrat president declaring a “crime crisis” over firearms to unleash the military for door-to-door gun confiscation“I’m all for crime reduction,” Goldberg said. “But the conservatives were celebrating this.”
The anti-Trump commentator went on to say top Democrat presidential prospects like Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom, or Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, could hypothetically deem guns a “crisis” and issue firearm confiscation orders.
“You listen to the mayor of Chicago talk about the gun crisis in America. Well, what is to stop—given the precedent that Donald Trump is setting—what is to stop a Democrat, a Gov. Pritzker, a Gov. Newsom, from saying, ‘We have a gun crisis in America, just as legitimate on the facts and arguments as a crime crisis, and we’re going to send the National Guard into states to go get their guns?’ There have to be standards here.”
What’s to stop them? Umm, I don’t know, maybe a little something called the Second Amendment?
The panelist’s slippery slope was clearly intended to stoke fear in conservatives by claiming Trump’s policies endanger their guns, but the false equivalence doesn’t square with the Constitution, and apparently he’d rather tolerate crime than safer cities.
