Comes just one day after the FBI and SDNY searched the homes over several Project Veritas reporters over Joe Biden’s daughter’s “stolen” diary.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations conducted an early-morning raid on Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe’s private residence on Saturday over the stolen diaries of Joe Biden’s daughter Ashley.
Authorities raided O’Keefe’s Westchester County residence in Mamaroneck, just a day after the FBI searched the homes of several Project Veritas reporters.
From The Daily Mail:
Project Veritas did not publish the diary, as O’Keefe said in a video released Friday that the group could not confirm the authenticity of the diary, its belonging to Ashley Biden or that the contents of the diary were truthful.
The diary was obtained by Project Veritas just a week before the 2020 Presidential Election.
The investigation, ordered by the Department of Justice (DOJ), was carried out by both federal investigators and federal prosecutors in Manhattan, according to the New York Times.
O’Keefe issued a video statement Friday about the first raid despite the DOJ ordering him to keep silent about it to “preserve the confidentiality of the investigation.”
“I woke to the news that apartments and homes of Project Veritas journalists, or former journalists, had been raided by FBI agents,” O’Keefe began.
“It appears the Southern District of New York now has journalists in their sights for the supposed crime of doing their jobs lawfully and honestly, or at least this journalist.”
“We do not know how the New York Times was aware of the execution of a search warrant at our reporter’s home or the subject matter of the search warrant as a grand jury investigation is secret,” O’Keefe said.
“The FBI took materials of current, former Project Veritas journalists despite the fact that our legal team previously contacted the Department of Justice and voluntarily conveyed unassailable facts that demonstrate Project Veritas’ lack of involvement in criminal activity, and or criminal intent.”
The contents of Ashley Biden’s alleged diary were first reported by National File before the 2020 election, documenting admissions about Joe Biden’s questionable behavior with his daughter while she was young.
