According to a Mediaite report, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to select California-based attorney Nicole Shanahan as his running mate.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Expected Running Mate Identified In Report, Surprise Name
Shanahan, once married to Google co-founder Sergey Brinn, reportedly funded RFK Jr.’s Super Bowl campaign commercial.
RFK Jr.'s team declined to confirm if the report is accurate.
However, it appears Shanahan has some concerning affiliations.
"The director of Shanahan's foundation is simultaneously part of Open Philanthropy, which financed Event 201, a pandemic simulation RFK Jr has routinely criticized, and is mainly funded by Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz," journalist Whitney Webb said.
"Open Philanthropy was also tied to the FTX scandal through SBF's ties to the group via 'effective altruism,'" she added.

"The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will host a global pandemic exercise called 'Event 201' on Friday, October 18, 2019, in New York City," the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security wrote.
"The exercise will illustrate the pandemic preparedness efforts, response decisions, and cooperation required from global businesses, governments, and public health leaders that the world will need to diminish the large-scale economic and societal consequences of a severe pandemic," it continues.
Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security states:
The exercise is supported by funding from the Open Philanthropy Project.
Footage of Event 201, the pandemic exercise conducted months before the COVID-19 plandemic, is still available on YouTube:
"To be clear, im not the source of the claim he will pick her for VP, i am merely stating some of shanahan's troubling affiliations," Webb noted.
