President-elect Donald Trump said that tech mogul Bill Gates requested to pay a visit to Mar-a-Lago.
In a cryptic post on Truth Social Friday thought to be addressed to Elon Musk, Trump said the Microsoft founder had asked for a meeting at his Palm Beach, Florida estate.
“Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe,’ Mar-a-Lago,” Trump wrote Friday on his Truth Social platform. “Bill Gates asked to come, tonight.” He then added: “We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!!”
It’s unclear who exactly Trump’s message was directed to, but CNN speculated his post was meant to be a private message to Musk — claiming “we miss you and x” is a reference to Musk’s young son X Æ A-Xii, whom Musk often simply calls X, like the name of the social media platform he owns.
This comes after other tech leaders visited Mar-a-Lago in recent weeks, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Apple’s Tim Cook.
Gates had frequently criticized Trump’s response to the COVID-19 plandemic and discreetly donated $50 million to Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
Many on X lambasted Trump’s apparent readiness to meet with Gates, claiming his advocacy of the experimental and dangerous COVID “vaccines,” as well as his support of draconian lockdown measures, should earn him jail time rather than a Mar-a-Lago visit.

Infowars founder Alex Jones said he trusts Trump’s judgment on this matter, but cautioned the president-elect to remain cautious since Gates is trying to gin a “new pandemic hysteria” that could undermine his second term agenda.
“Gates is coming with hat in hand. Trump knows Gates set him up with Covid. In my view Trump should do what he thinks is best,” Jones wrote on X. “That said Bill Gates has boasted that he convinced DJT to not bring RFK Jr. in to his first administration back in 2017. Trump should not turn his back on Jeffrey Epstein’s best buddy unless he wants to get hurt. Gates is still in control of the US pandemic bureaucracy, and is openly trying to launch a new pandemic hysteria right now to block the MAHA agenda.”

Gates in September warned that “there will be another pandemic, most likely in the next 25 years,” due to climate change and population growth.
