A part time police sergeant, Francis Esposito, working for the Sandy Springs Georgia Police Department was fired after it was revealed he used the Flock database for personal gain. Esposito had a part time job for a company called Signal 8 Systems, and this company develops software for law enforcement agencies. In early 2025 Esposito tested this software using his access credentials at the Sandy Springs Police Department. He was busted by a whistleblower and fired from the police department in August of 2025. Yet again the Flock database was misused by law enforcement for illicit purposes, and yet again we are only aware of this because of an informant.
