This is the police department redacted Facebook page released Body camera footage which captures a disturbing encounter in Hinesville, Georgia, where a police officer leaves an elderly amputee man and his wife stranded on the side of the road after having their vehicle towed over an alleged insurance issue at 2:36 am. The family has been demanding the full raw body camera file which police continue to fail to produce I represent this family. I called the police department and demanded release of full video to family.

According to the couple, they DID have valid car insurance at the time of the stop. Proof of insurance was shown to the officer who ignored it but the Georgia GCIC system and other databases showed no insurance. But police department later says the GCIC system eventually showed there was insurance. This officer could have shown discretion. He failed to call a supervisor after being requested to do so. What is the policy on that.

The video raises serious questions about how the situation was handled, including the decision to leave an elderly disabled man and his wife without transportation on the roadside.
