Imagine you or a loved one are travelling on the freeway when you see blue lights and hear the sirens approaching fast, from behind. You start moving to the shoulder of the road in order to give the law enforcement vehicle the room to pas by safely. Then, what you least expect happens. The law enforcement vehicle performs the “P.I.T” maneuver on you causing you to wreck and put your life in danger.
Well on September 10, 2023 Corporal Thomas Hubbard of the Arkansas Highway Patrol did that to a vehicle that was not wanted for anything at all. The trooper “pitted” the wrong vehicle during a high speed chase. He “apparently” mistook the vehicle for the one that was being pursued. The trooper “resigned” after the incident. No charges have yet to be filed against him.
