Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) said she supports abortion without limit, including up to the moment of birth.

Abrams joined “Fox News Sunday” to discuss the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade.

“Do you support any limitation on abortion? Or do you think that women should have the right to have an abortion all the way up to nine months?” asked host Martha Macallum.

Abrams responded: “I believe abortion is a medical decision. That should be a choice made between a doctor and a woman and in consultation with her family.”

“But I think the challenge that we have is that we keep putting this in a political space,” Abrams continued. “This is a medical decision. And the medical choices that should be made should be governed by what is best for that woman, and what is best at the suggestion of and advice of their doctor.”

If the Georgia Democrat thinks “medical decisions” should be left up to the individual, why did she adamantly defend mask mandates in schools?

Polls show that the majority of Americans don’t agree with Abrams’ radical position of abortion up to birth.

According to a Rasmussen poll from May, 67% of 1,000 Americans surveyed believe abortions should not be allowed late in pregnancy.

In fact, the poll showed that among those who were pro-abortion, just 23% believe abortion should be legal at any time during a pregnancy, including up to the moment of birth.

Now that abortion policy is left up to the states, perhaps Abrams should convince her Democrat colleagues in Georgia’s legislature to introduce a bill allowing abortion up to birth if she’s so confident citizens in the state support that position.

Odds are, it will fail to pass.
