“I’m just doing my job.” “I’m just following orders.” “It’s my job.” Those are the excuses of a conformist in uniform trying to justify his actions. Instead of using principles and asking himself if the person he is about to terrorize has actually harmed another being, he relies on those weak persuasions.
I will never call a law enforcer a “hero”. I will, on the other hand, call a man a hero when that man speaks the truth while he is being placed in tyranny by those that swore an oath to defend freedom and liberty.
